The regular discussion with Ludruk groups in Surabaya is one of the advocacy agendas for Ludruk art organized by the Arek Institute team (25/09/2022). This event aims to identify issues and explore alternative solutions on the ground. Therefore, in organizing this activity, the Arek Institute collaborates with the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Airlangga University (Unair). Through this discussion, artists, students, researchers, and cultural activists come together in a forum to address topics that pose challenges or issues in the field

The preparation of a regular discussion titled ‘Understanding the Importance of Social Media as a New Platform’ stems from previous studies and research conducted by the Arek Institute team. This theme emerged due to the necessity of a new platform for Ludruk groups to showcase their work to the public. Therefore, this theme was chosen to achieve the targets set in the milestones or achievements established during the Arek Institute program period
