The Arek Institute organized an interdisciplinary discussion with the student community from the Philosophy Department at UIN Surabaya. The discussion focused on the topic of Urban Space History. The discussion was led by Alfia Widi Santoso, who is also involved as a researcher network member of the Arek Institute. The event took place at Seneng Cangkruk angkringan in Surabaya on October 21, 2022.

This activity is one of the forms of community collaboration between the philosophy community at UIN Surabaya and the Arek Institute through discussion forums and exchange of opinions. This way, Arek Studies can reach a more multidisciplinary audience. In other words, the involvement of researchers from various disciplines can engage in discussions about the subculture of Arek within the domains of each researcher.
